Last Friday we got in the car and headed out for a weekend trip to Vancouver, BC. My sisters were in town and they’ve never been to Vancouver before so we decided to go. It was actually my 5th time in Vancouver in the past year!! One of the first places we went to was the Sea to Sky Gondola, which is an hour north of Vancouver. The drive from Vancouver on Hwy 99 is one of the most beautiful drives, so I don’t mind it.
The Sea to Sky Gondola is a must see if you’re going to be in the Vancouver area. You can get to the summit via gondola or hiking (I usually do the gondola since I’m not an expert hiker). The gondola ride is only 10 minutes but it can be a little scary if you’re afraid of heights. The view at the top, though, is absolutely breathtaking! Beautiful views of the mountain range and the sound. Also, the suspension bridge is really cool, just don’t look down! I’ve seen people do engagement shoots up here because it’s so beautiful. The photos really don’t do it justice. You’ll have to go and see it for yourself.
After the bridge we headed back to Vancouver for lunch and to enjoy the city. Vancouver is such a trendy, hip city and there’s so much to do and see and tons of good coffee shops, including one of my favorites, Prado Cafe (pictured above). Soon, I’m hoping to make a Vancouver City Guide to show you some of my favorite spots here. Until next time..
