A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I went on a weekend trip to LA to meet up with my folks and two of my siblings. My dad had a 50-year reunion with some of his old friends from Vietnam. My husband and I just tagged along. We stayed at an Airbnb in West Hollywood that was super cute and right across from the LACMA. We’ve stayed at an Airbnb many times in the past and it’s nice alternative to hotels when you have a big group.
We spent the first two days exploring LA, drinking coffee, and eating food. We went to this a really good Korean BBQ place, Park’s BBQ in Koreatown, that I highly recommend and would definitely go back to the next time I’m in LA. I was also able to meet up with one of my best friends who lives in LA and we went out to Venice Beach and had Oaxacan food afterward. I love the variety of food they have in LA and it’s all soooo good!
The third day, we drove down to Orange County, where we went to Viet town , where my dad had his reunion. We ate at a great pho place there, did a little shopping, and went to the night market, which reminded me so much of Vietnam when I was there. Makes me want to go back so much!!
It was a short trip but a fun one, nonetheless. I love whenever we get the chance to go to LA because the weather is nice and there’s so much to do! And only a two hour flight from Seattle. I’m hoping for another trip down there before the end of the year. Hope you guys enjoy the photos!
