Sisters in Seattle

This week was pretty hectic for me and my husband— we spent some time tidying up our guest room for my younger sister, Brenda. She lived in New York City for the past year, and decided to take some time off of school to live with us here in Seattle and get a taste of the PNW life.

After picking her up from the airport and giving her a chance to settle in, we thought it would be fun to start showing her around the city, and what’s more “Seattle” than a festive trip to Pike Place Market? Fresh seafood, beautiful flowers, the original Starbucks, and an amazing view of the waterfront, it’s no wonder this is a popular spot among tourists and locals alike.

The market is always filled with fun and exciting energy, it’s impossible not to have a good time when visiting. There are several flower vendors, and they arrange beautiful bouquets right in front of you, and they always sell it for such a good price. We picked up a bouquet of colorful dahlias and a few stems of sunflowers to decorate our apartment— fresh flowers always add a touch of life to any room.

We’ve crossed Pike Place Market off of our list, but there is still a lot  more to show her. I’m excited for Brenda to experience all my favorite things about Seattle, and can’t wait to share all of our adventures with you guys. Until next time!
