Hello there and happy first day of Spring! I’m so glad spring is here and I’m so looking forward to warmer temperatures and longer days. Spring also means that the cherry blossoms should be coming out soon. They should be in full bloom by next week so I’ll definitely be heading to University of Washington to check them out.
Anyway, this past weekend was my husband’s birthday and we decided to spend the weekend in Leavenworth with some friends. For those of you that have never been to Leavenworth, it’s a Bavarian town in Washington’s Cascade Mountains with picturesque views of the mountain peaks and lots of outdoor activities, food and shopping. It’s about a 2-3 hour ride from Seattle but it’s so worth it! I’ve been to Leavenworth a couple of times and it never disappoints! The food there is amazing, especially the brats. I always overload mine with mustard and sauerkraut. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water… yumm
This is the first time that we’ve been here that we actually rented a cabin to stay in. I highly recommend doing this, especially if you want to stay for a few days. Ours had an outdoor jacuzzi which was great and very relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. The cabin was also close to Lake Wenatchee which is beautiful when covered in snow. If you live in the Seattle area and haven’t been to Leavenworth, I highly recommend it! Well, I’m off now. Hope you all have a great week and Happy Spring!
